Maker’s terms
Tyres, batteries and audio-navigation units are covered by their own manufacturers’ warranties. See the warranty condition card supplied with your vehicle for details.
Authorised Hyundai distributors and dealers carry out warranty repairs free of charge for both parts and labour. Warranty work done anywhere else is not covered.
Hyundai makes the final decision on all warranty claims.
Repair or replacement of any component originally manufactured by Hyundai that proves defective in material or workmanship under normal use and maintenance, except for the items listed under What is not covered.
Routine servicing is not covered: inspections, tightening and adjustments, engine tune-ups, fuel-system adjustments, wheel alignment and balancing, cleaning, lubrication, oil changes, tyre rotation, and topping up fuel, oils, fluids, coolant, refrigerant or washer fluid. These are covered only when a replacement is needed because of a defect in material or workmanship.
Wear and consumable items are covered only when their replacement is caused by a defect in material or workmanship.
Costs that follow from a fault are not covered, for example fuel, phone calls, travel, lodging, meals, vehicle rental, storage, lost time or pay, inconvenience, commercial loss, or loss of use of the vehicle.
To keep your warranty valid, as the owner you should:
Follow the Owner’s Manual for use, maintenance and care, including the severe-driving maintenance schedule if it applies to how you drive.
Keep a record of every scheduled service. You may need it to show that the required maintenance was carried out.
For warranty work, bring your vehicle to an authorised Hyundai dealer during regular service hours.
Check the trim, paint and overall appearance when you take delivery of your new vehicle.
